Delegated Administration in Office 365

An Office 365 tenant can assign delegated administrator rights to a Microsoft Partner company. The assignment of a delegated administrator requires an invite sent by a Microsoft Partner company.

 

The Microsoft Partner company sends an invitation link by email to an Office 365 tenant administrator. After accepting the invite the Microsoft Partner does have access to the various administrative interfaces of the Office 365 tenant.

In addition the Microsoft Partner can create service requests on behalf of the customer and can manage open support cases.

 

The delegated administrator permission can be revoked by the Office 365 tenant administrator at any time.
